Ready for Adoption!

The Benders are ready to meet you!  They should be at PAWS Cat City by mid-afternoon today if you want to stop by and say hello or to take some home!  Please contact Cat City first to make sure the kittens are there, just in case there are delays.

Sleeping Kittens

Is there anything in the world cuter and more innocent than a sleeping kitten?  But where and how do they sleep?   Let's see.. 

sitting up on a high perch...

passed out on the floor...

on their side on top of the laundry basket...

all together in the crate...

snuggled on top of the crate...

alone wrapped up in a blanket...

in the litterbox in a heart shape...

stretched out in the kitty bed...

even face down hanging over the bed!

So the answer is.. kittens sleep anywhere, everywhere, and every which way!  And this is one of the reasons they're arguably the most adorable, lovable creatures ever.

A Day in the Life of Prince Zuko

Zuko is the most curious and outgoing of the Benders.  He is the first to run around exploring new places and bat new toys, so we thought he'd be the most difficult to calm down.  However, he LOVES to snuggle, especially on laps!


Like most kittens, Zuko has a pretty fabulous life.

He wakes up...

plays with toys...

wrestles one of his bros...

eats a family meal...

naps with a buddy...

grooms himself after climbing onto daddy's lap...

and looks cool while doing it all.

First kittens of 2011

There have been no young kittens at the shelter lately, so we weren't expecting fosters til spring.  Imagine our surprise and delight when Rebecca at PAWS called us to pick up 6 little ones!  We were a bit nervous as we'd never fostered a whole litter before, but also very excited.  These guys are around 7 weeks old, a little older than our usual bottle feeders, which makes it easier since we won't have to wean them.

We decided to name them after Avatar:The Last Airbender (which is an awesome anime btw) characters as some of them immediately reminded us of their namesakes.  So with no further ado, here's a preview of the Benders as they first arrived.
