Our First Pets!

So after about 20 foster kittens, we finally decided to adopt one (err.. 2)!  We've been so lucky because we've had such amazing kittens pass through and enrich our lives, and we've definitely wanted to adopt in the past, but it was never the right time and we never agreed on which one!

Surprisingly we're both head over heels in love with these 2 kittens, they truly are PURRfect (such a cheesy saying, but so fitting) for us.  We didn't really plan on adopting when we first took in the Dolci's, but these little girls snatched our hearts and never let go.

sweetest things ever!

The only cloud in our happy skies is that we won't be able to take in more baby kittens in the immediate future.  We love bottle feeders and will terribly miss having 4-week-old littlies wobbling around.  But we definitely plan on fostering again someday!

Introducing Kitt Katt!

We got a new addition to our current bunch, in the form of an ADORABLE little boy we're calling Kitt.  He was pretty feral at first, and is still a bit shy, but he's worlds better from when we first got him over a week ago.  I think it helps that he's constantly surrounded by 3 super sweet kittens who pester him with licks and cuddles.

Isn't he just darling?

look at those eyes...

and that face!

such a little cutie.

Handsome Cino

The Dolci's are killing us slowly with cuteness.  We're so enamored with all of them, it's going to be tough giving any of them up, and even tougher to decide which one(s) to adopt if we do!

Cino reminds me SO much of my first kitten love, Tigger.  He's very playful and snuggly.  He always bounces over whenever he sees me and loves to snuggle and nap with me.  He loves playing with toys, with his sisters, with random stuff laying around, even with the air.  It's so entertaining just to watch him, definitely better than TV!

oh, and did I mention his amazing looks?

Gorgeous Kiwi

Kiwi is so unique and pretty, but beyond her looks she is basically the perfect kitten.  She's very loving and playful, plus she lets us pick her up and hold her whenever we want.  She's like my little baby - I constantly pick her up and walk around, and she doesn't squirm or try to jump down.  She's also super soft and smells incredible!  It's actually quite strange, she smells like vanilla and rose petals.  Hmmm, I wonder how she does it and if she'll share her secret so I can start a Kiwi fragrance collection.  Anyways, on to the photos!

Such beautiful coloring...

...and belly!

yup, she's a total princess.

Cara Bella

Our sweet little Cara (aka Caramel aka Care Bear) is too adorable for words.  She has this ridiculously cute, pathetic look that immediately melts your heart, along with a personality to match.

I mean, just look at this face.

Really?

Geez.

Too cute to describe.

Even bundled up after a bath!

P.S. Her nose doesn't always have those brown marks, it's just that she loves to swim in her food.  Yup, just like Koku

A Cup o' Cino Please

Oh I'm sorry, you ordered a cappuccino?  I thought you meant Cup o' Cino!

Just try it, it's delicious!

Or how about a Kiwi instead?

Can't decide?  Well, you can always have both...

Just don't spill any!

Say Ciao to the Dolcis!

Jon and I were just in the Mediterranean for about a month, hence the lack of blog posts.  But we just got new kittens!  They're 4 weeks old but so tiny!  We've been fattening them up for the last couple days, but they're probably genetically small because their heads are proportional to their size.

I decided to name them the Dolcis because they are just the sweetest bunch.  They're all very loving, and will run (err.. wobble) over to me, then start purring when I pick them up for a snuggle session.

Here's the first, the unique Kiwi!  Have you ever seen a kitten with her coloring before?

next is our playful boy Cino (for Cappuccino)

and lastly, our tiny Cara (for Caramel, but also means "beloved" or "darling" in Italian)

Flashback: Sweet & Snuggly Koku

We got Koku a couple days after Tigger, which was wonderful so they could grow up together.  Kittens are awesome in pairs!

Koku's the absolute sweetest kitten ever, with the most innocent face.  He was quite... umm... slooow - it took him a looong time to even learn how to eat!  He would literally crawl on the food plate and get food everywhere.  He also got himself dirty whenever he went to the bathroom - we spent so much time cleaning him every single day for the first couple weeks.  We'd sometimes get frustrated, but then he'd lower his head and look up at us with his loving eyes, and our hearts would melt.  He was never happier than when he was napping on chests.

Jon missed him so much when we had to give him back that we decided to adopt him, but he was already adopted!  It ended up being a blessing in disguise, as we could continue to foster more adorable kittens, but he'll always have a special spot in our hearts.
